Did anybody else notice that in his little statement after the IHL meeting yesterday, Roy Klumb was smirking? He's delighted at this mess.
Klumb should recuse himself from any deliberations relative to this case, simply because he wrote his little Shelby love-fest piece for the _American_ last Sunday. He cannot be unbiased in this matter.
He is no friend of the University of Southern Mississippi, which he habitually calls "Mississippi Southern." (Klumb is not old enough for that gaffe to be excusable.)
A few of us students were standing across the room from Klumb...you should have seen the looks he gave us. We got in a staring contest with him more than once...he lost every time.
It's funnt that not a single board member acknowleged us...just glanced at us and kept going.
It was also great to see Hudson there. He walked over to us and said "good to see yall," and made the rounds. Could he be making overtures for the job once ST has left?
Thames and his pet lawyer were there (off to themselves, with few people talking to them--including other university presidents). Mader trotted around desperately trying to get the media to talk to her, but they seemed more interested in what the students had to say--except for Thames' local media outlet on channel 7.
The president-elect from the SGA and Moore were there, functioning as paperweights, I suppose. I listened in on the new pres' comments to a Jackson TV reporter, and heard him say that the SGA wasn't going to conduct a student referendum on STs leadership.
Frankly, bluntly, Roy Klumb is a jackoff. He is purely a political hack who can only be appointed, so he gets in good with those who like their asses occupied by toadies and floats along. His opinions, and his smirks, are irrelevant to anyone with an iota of education. His existence is an embarrasment to anyone who's ever passed a test.
