Please read the news articles that are posted at FireShelby.com.  These were not his students, these were actually students from the RIVAL college that his team got beat by that night.  He said derogatory things about his own players at this party.  He was repeatedly asked to leave because he was "creeping out" the female guests.  He didn't leave until someone called him a taxi at 5:30 a.m.  This behavior constitutes harassment and extremely poor judgment, in my book.  A little different from a professor "just drinking with his students."
