I we had elected Mike Parker as governor rather than Ronnie the whiner Ole Miss boy Musgrove, there would be no "fire shelby" board and we would probably have Don Cotten as president, or someone of that caliber.
I have chastised my "democratic" friends on that one and warned them what Ronnie would do.

There's no guarantee that this is what would have happened. Sorry, Goliath, but unless you have a crystal ball and a time machine, I can't see how you can call that a credible statement.

Cynthia Easterling Moore is such a waste of space...my sources say she got the job because she helped Shelby do the interior decorating of the Polymer Science Palace. She's a HOME EC teacher, for crying out loud! I have no beef with the domestic arts, but the woman has no administrative experience. I hear all of her underlings do her work for her.
You should get Stan Hauer to tell you about a memo she once sent to him full of errors...I think he may have corrected it and sent it back to her! Gotta love that Stan!
The other rumor I heard about her was that when Maureen Ryan was in the big house (as Assoc. Provost of something or other regarding the SACS accreditation), Maureen intimidated Cynthia so much that C. had M.'s office moved to College Hall. I'm sure Maureen gladly went to get out of the nuthouse. And, of course, M.'s gone back to teaching now...smart move!

I emphatically second your statement. Dr. Hauer is an asset to Liberal Arts and the university as a whole. He's one of the GOOD guys.
Mike Parker would have put three USM folks on the College Board.
I knew several people who were insiders to Parker and once I talked with him personally. He was deeply committed to getting USM super representation, and would have done it.
Now, my math tells me that the first vote on Thames, thus, would have been more like 9-3 or 8-4 against him rather than 6-6. And, five of those six would NOT have caved in like happened with the five two years ago.
I have more if you like.
Parker spoke to USM groups and I believed sincerely that he would have done so. BTW, this "fear" did not help his election results either.

Politicians make promises. Supposedly, Barbour will do us right--he promised to.
I really don't have the faith that you have in Parker, and it has nothing to do with bipartisanship.
He wasn't really great about answering his constituents' letters and calls when he was a congressman.

You again? As your vocabulary and grammaer are pathetic, at best, perhaps you would be better served to: 1. Go to the library, resisting the urge to look at internet porn in the computer lab. 2. Select a book (you did know they have books there, didn't you?) 3. READ THE BOOK!!! I sincerely hope that you take this advice, and that someday you wil become a mature and productive member of American society.
