We went to Bourne Bros. Printing this morning and ordered 1000 "Impeach Thames" bumper stickers. They differ from the original ones, in that they are much, much larger, are black with white lettering, and include the url for this site (thanks, FS).
We will have them on the info table in the LAB lobby by Tuesday afternoon, and at the demonstration. Please tell anyone interested, that we are charging a $2 donation per sticker, ALL proceeds are going to the Glamser and Stringer defense fund.
Thanks to everyone whose donations and support made this possible!!!
If you receive more donations, will you use it to order more stickers? I bet some readers here will be sending in some money. You may be able to order 500 or 1,000 more!

We will order more stickers as soon as we get low on them--I don't think that will take very long to happen. We are also exploring other fundraising merchandise such a keychains, t-shirts, hat, etc. We'll keep you posted.

Give me an idea of how much this all costs. I think that if you posted an amount (such as 100 bumper stickers cost X amount, and 50 keychains cost X amount), then people would be inclined to give you more money. People like knowing the details of exactly how their money can help.

Here's what I know about it:
Yes, make the check out to Amber, but write CSUSM Fund Drive on the memo line.
About the cost of stickers: If I recall correctly, these stickers are costing CSUSM approximately 50 cents each to make. The price per sticker decreases significantly the greater quantity they order.
(I would advise the students to keep 50 cents of each sticker they sale to print new stickers and put 1$ in the professors' defense fund. That way, they will always have a supply of money to cover production of new stickers, thus new donations to the profs' fund.--just my 2 cents.)
When the CSUSM rep is online again, I am sure he will correct me if I am wrong about production costs.
Let me add, too, that these students have given hundreds of hours of their time to activism on behalf of our university and our two professors. Unlike SGA, CSUSM students don't get thousand-dollar scholarships...CSUSM students are altruists. To me, they represent the heart of USM.
I really like your last post. How about the CSUSM starting their own student government organization next year since Cain is starting his own newspaper?
We ordered 1,000 stickers at approximately $.26 each (not including the set-up fee--$20-- and shipping--about $40). The shipping was on the high side because we had to make sure they'd be here in time for the protest, but it totals around $320 per 1000.
We scoured the area to find the best price and Bourne was substantially cheaper than anyplace else.
I'll talk to the other members regarding retaining a small portion of the proceeds to cover future printings, flyers, etc. By the way, if anyone is interested in helping make signs, we'll be having a sign-making at Javawerks Monday night starting around 7.

Hopefully, we won't need to be around that long. However, the USM ACLU chapter will become an official university entity on 12 April and will monitor events closely.
Additionally, Nadine Strossen, president of the ACLU, will speak during the protest. We are also working on getting the Hartwigs to speak as well.
