I saw that interview and I think he took the standard criminal justice viewpoint of let's wait for the facts...or at least that's how I took it.

Fact: being warden at Parchman pays better than being a department chair at USM.

Let's see...Cabana,Smith, and Taylor are all leaving the CJ department; I guess that puts an end to ST plan to create a world famous criminal forensic science department.
