I've noted several references in posts on this board to administrative changes at the Gulf Coast campus of USM.  Can anyone provide a brief overview of what has been happening there for the last several years, and particularly how any of the events there connect to the current crisis?  Am I right in understanding that President Thames was once in the administration there but was removed? If so, who replaced him?  Is that person still in office?  If not, why not?  And how, if at all, is any of this relevant to what has been going on at USM-Hattiesburg?  People have implied connections, but it would be helpful to have them spelled out.  Thanks!
