Listed as assistant to the President, University of Pittsburgh . . . more to follow I hope . . .

oops . . . Pittsburg State University (Kansas). He is listed as assistant to the president for technology but under the listing for the President's office I can find several other assistants but not him . . .
He also said--all on the 5p.m. news but WDAM didn't play the same clip at 10--that he is looking forward to working with Thames and the polymer science dept. to develop the Hatt. area.

He's better hurry . . . . this President doesn't have much time left . . . .

It appears that the ADP is attempting to help Shelby become so firmly entrenched into Hattiesburg's economic future that not even a titanium crowbar will pry him from his position.
An aside: Was Angie a candidate for the ADP head honcho position?
I have several friends who actually teach at PSU in the booming metropolis of Pittsburg KS (the home of the Gorillas) and they report that he left there over a year ago. Odd that he'd be located there since Pittsburg KS is basically a podunk town in the SE corner of KS that is dying on the vine.

I tried to search his company "Halstead Associates" but wasn't able to come up with much in the time I had. Whatever is out there isn't very widespread or prominent.
Maybe one of our wonderful researchers on this list can do a better job . . .
I'd hate to think that ADP's primary requisite for its leadership is cementing Shelby's position . . . that is truly depressing.
What do these people have to gain from supporting Shelby & Co.? Notice Dvorak is on the executive commt.

From today's Hattiesburg American online re: Halstead:
A former director of the Kansas Polymer Research Center in Pittsburg, Halstead has a background similar to that of University of Southern Mississippi President Shelby Thames, who is a leading polymer scientist. They have known each other since Halstead visited USM's campus about six years ago.
"I have watched what he's done since they left here six years ago and he has done a remarkable job," Thames said. "Basically he's done and is doing the same sort of things there that we're trying to do here. And so I think it's a perfect fit."
Maybe Shelby can go work for him after he leaves the Dome!

Pittsburg KS is the Pitts!! I know since I have contributed to the economic development there by buying 4 dresses for my daughter in this Prom Shop located in Pittsburg during the past 2 years.
Polymers in Pittsburg - I'm researching this and it makes little sense to me. I found one silly thing where he presented to a group in Ft. Scott KS that makes Hattiesburg look like NYC in comparison to where he has been. How did a guy with 3 degrees from FSU (Tallahassee) end up in Pittsburg KS????
Why do people in Pittsburg, connected to economic development and the PSU Gorillas, seem to not remember any impact that he made in their lives?
