The interim dean of the College of Health is no longer in the running for the position as the college’s next permanent dean.
Joan Exline, who has served as interim since last summer, sent an email to faculty members in that college on Tuesday announcing her intentions to withdraw her name from the list of candidates being considered for the position. “I have been evaluating some unique options that have been presented to me in the last few days. To pursue them, I must return to my 9-month faculty position in community health sciences,” Exline said in the email.
Yup, word is that she did some of their dirty work and they didn't stick with her. Bet she's regretting some decisions now. Beware those of you who are making deals with the devil. Are you going to be able to hold your heads high when this is all over? Remember, when you sleep with dogs, you catch fleas!

Yep, she sure did do a lot of the dirty work. Too bad she won't own up.
I think there's a long line of people who regret their decisions from, say, even two years ago -- some have spoken up about it, others remain silent. Those who remain silent need to speak up and be heard. It would go a long way towards achieving justice. It would make the history books (or even a groundbreaking motion picture - now, if shot on location, how about THAT helping develop the economy of Southern Mississippi?).
I attended a conference two weeks ago and heard that Dr. Gil Reeve was offered the position of Dean of the College of Health. Gil is a professor at Texas Tech University and Department Chair of the Department of Health, Exercise, and Sport Sciences.
see another thread that is now moved to SACS and accreditation. when i saw the guy's background from Texas Tech, i immediately thought that he could help with some accreditation problems.
