Just a grapevine report that the detailed charges were so ridiculous (won't hold up, make Shelby look desperate) that some of Glamser/Stringer's closest supporters went out and had drinks last night to celebrate.

This could be important. I have maintained that IF evidence is not fabricated, that the administration might look very bad. Remember, he circumvented his own chief academic officer and I personally see no way in heaven for him to justify that. That stuff about "didn't want to involve the Provost [Hudson] so that he would not face legal issues" is almost an admission of wrongdoing.
Maybe I see things too simplistically, here, but the judge should see this and recognize it for what it is.

I hate to tell you guys because it gives my age away but this is a lot like sitting next to the radio waiting for the next "news flash." Yeah, we still did that when I was a kid.
Every time I am about to log off some new "news" pops up -- are we on pins and needles or what? I am hoping the next two weeks we are going to be getting all of these delicious little indicators that SFT will be "slowly twisting in the wind . . ." (anyone remember that from the Watergate hearings?)

Oh, yes. I remember the tension and the final feeling of jubilation when the Watergate Hearings finally let so many of us believe that right could prevail. I live hundreds of miles away, but I can't stay off the message board hoping for some hope. I have been contacting everybody I know personally at other universities and asking them if they will write letters to IHL. I have even offered to draft letters and send them on for review. It's something I can do. I also am sending some documentation on misuse of grant funds administered through the University that will implicate ST and one of his minions. I lost it for a few weeks and was beginning to suspect long distance boogeymen before I found where I had hid it from myself. It's not much, but it's names and initials and grant numbers and dates, so I will see what can be made of it.
I am a good enough friend of Gary's to know that if he went for drinks, it was for an martini, and I am pleased to hear the news. I wish I could lift a glass with him.

It reminds all of us "on Board" that we're not alone. Numbers do help solidarity. I admit, I look towards this Board as a refuge from the insanity of the Shelbyspeakology.

ooooh! "Shelbyspeakology." Isn't that the cult that John Travolta and Tom Cruise follow? Oh no! Sorry -- it's a one man theocracy . . . .
Keep the glasses chilled folks because I can see across the river to the promised land and i hear the stirring of ice cubes . . . .
