2) What kind of campus atmosphere do you all expect? Do we expect media beyond the usual outlets to be present?
3) How will the hearing affect classes? Students, do any of you plan to attend?
4) The media has been really quiet about the hearings. Has anyone heard of any media plans on coverage--related to #1--any outlets providing live feed?
5) Shelby has been relatively silent on the matter. What's up with that?

I talked to Ademan on Sunday. He said the the defense, Shelby and the UAC have three working days to write up their reports. Anderson will then write his. Adleman expected Anderson wouldn't dawdle, but when it goes to the Board -- at that point who knows?
We'll have a handle on how the reports are likely to come out based on what we get in the hearings. The question to ponder is -- when is the next time to stage a major action? We will probably only get one chance. Pick the wrong time and/or not a united enough action and we are not likely to see a fast administrative change. On the other hand, once school is out . . . and remember how much damage can be done in the summer.
One note: if Tim and Joe Paul do move on then we lose the possibility of two major administrative figures becoming so disgusted with whatever else happens they resign. We don't know who the replacements will be, There will be a period of time when Shelby and the cabal will not have any restraining influences around them to hold them in check.

If they do leave, will they tell all? also, my classes are cancelled, but for an unrelated matter. can we do anything to show our support in the union, on the days of the appeal?

come to the hearing -- even if you can't get in, some and be part of the community. Wear a button. Be a witness. Talk to the press. Show that this issue isn't just about Gary and Frank, but about our university -- about every university.

Is there any evidence that Paul and Hudson currently have any influence on the cabal?

they probably won't say much -- you don't like to tell you're new employer you are publically dissing your old one. That tends to send out bad signals about trust.
I think they probably don't have much effect -- but I think they force the cabal to at least go behind closed doors to plot since they (JP and TH) can't be trusted (by the cabal). Anything that makes life difficult for the cabal is good for our side, however small . .

Is the CSUSM doing hearing flyers? I really think many students do not know about them or at least about the specifics--time, place, etc.

Present Professor makes some valid points here. Is anyone putting together some contingency plans. With trolls abounding, this may not be the forum to discuss future actions, but whatever the outcome, the fight should continue.
