I noticed on the petition that Ronnie Evans and Muriel Azria-Evans (both former faculty at USM) have left. I know they must have left fairly recently, as I remember both of them being at USM when I was there...can anyone verify when they left? I think they needed to be added to your list.
"USM spokesman Lisa Mader said while the university can provide the number of people who are resigning, it cannot confirm any names.
“That’s a personnel issue and you have to talk to the individual,” Mader said.
USM has about 52 faculty members expected to announce they are leaving the university this year, 31 through retirements. The figures do not include the Stringers or Glamser.
What about James Martin, University Librarian? He is listed in the 2003-2004 Bulletin, yet he's not in the USM Directory any longer. Did he leave this year?
I believe the Evans left before the beginning of this current academic year, so they would fall out of the time frame. Martin was forced out as librarian, but he is still on campus.

A tremendous loss to USM's Mathematics Department will be Professor Mylan Redfern, who will become Chair of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Valdosta State University, Valdosta, GA.
