Someone on the poll thread has suggested an excellent idea for making sure that the poll gets more sigatures.  I wanted to make sure this idea got proper emphasis; hence this new thread.

If people at USM are nervous about signing the poll (and it is obvious why they WOULD) be nervous, they can contact friends in other states and locales and ask them to sign on their behalfs.  Maybe the signers could even add a message saying something like, "I am signing on behalf of a friend at USM who fears revealing his/her name."

It's sad that people ARE afraid, but it's perfectly understandable.
