The national AAUP rep was being sent when there was a question about the fairness of the hearing. Since transcript and video of the proceedings will be made and since the proceedings now seem fair, National will watch from afar.

The from Mike Forrester in the AAUP meeting that finished 30 minutes ago.,

I am very dissapointed at the national AAUP....if they can't send a warm body to something THIS big, I'm not going to renew my membership....shame on them....

The national AAUP is sending in an expert witness on academic freedom and tenure, and they are picking up the tab. He will testify.
