Anyone else notice that bit from the HA that talked about where the key players' family members sat??

Some on the front, others on the third

yes . . . and apparently the press was bumped in order to get them in. Those were press seats behind the Shelby table.

The article also noted that the wives of the professors were seated several rows back.

Hmmmpphh.

Cynthia Moore saved several more seats on the front row for "the press" than was necessary.  In all actuality, she saved those several seats on the front row for the family of Shelby Thames.

Where did the profs' families sit? On the THIRD row.

It's just another intimation of the way this administration operates.

Just for the record, because the HA didn't report it. Mary Ann Stringer looked fabulous in her red suit. Go girl!

I was at the hearing. Dr. Glamser, Dr. Stringer, and their attorneys were sitting on the left side of the room, and Shelby & Co. were on the right side. There were 3 (or 4?) rows of chairs behind each side with an aisle in the middle separating the two sides. There were probably 6 or 7 seats in each row on each side of the aisle. Stringer's and Glamser's wives were seated on the last row of the reserved seating on Shelby's side! Shelby's wife and others (friends?) were seated directly behind Shelby's table. Behind the reserved seating and the aisle were two long rows of "General Seating" spanning across the back wall. I would guess there were about 18 across in each row?? (Someone may be able to clarify the numbers in this message!) The point is, Shelby's wife was seated on his side of the room in the row behind him. Dr. Stringer's wife and Dr. Glamser's wife were seated in the last row on Shelby's side. Their seats had their names on them. In addition, Dr. Glamser's daughter was there and did not have a reserved seat. She sat in the back in the General Seating.... on her father's side!

They (S & Co.) obviously never paid any attention to the reasons why the French Revolution occurred.

Does anyone know who the tall, blonde professional-looking woman was who entered the room with Shelby and stayed close by him most of the day?  Not a USM employee...

Jill Benecke (sp?), President of Pileum?  Was there some rumor floating around that she had been  involved with WorldCom?

Pileum CEO Jill Beneke's background has been primarily in the financial industry. I, too, have heard rumblings about a Pileum/WorldCom connection but I don't know if Beneke is the connection or if it is someone else at Pileum. Of course, since she is an associate of Dvorak, she could have "sanitized" her bio on the Pileum website and removed all references to a past association with WorldCom.
