None of us know the details of the settlement, but we do know one thing. The evidence presented at the hearing showed clearly that G and S did nothing illegal or unethical. They were good University citizens. What it did show is the repressive nature of the Thames administration.
I do not know Frank Glamser, but I have known Gary Stringer a long time. He has always been a model citizen of the University and has given freely of his time for its betterment. He was "out front" on the Dvorak issue and he paid the price--8 weeks of pure hell.
We should all be applauding these two men rather than worrying about the settlement. The facts that came out at the hearing will further the "fire Shelby" cause. They have done their part in this battle.
Yes, and now they are endowing a scholarship for undergraduate students NOT slandering the student editor of the campus newspaper NOR monitoring emails from students NOR asking to put THEIR names on a Polymer Palace or other such building. I commend them for their character and their morals. USM will be better for having had both of them here.
