On May 14, Dr. Thames has to stand at the podium and look directly into the faces of a mass of faculty. Two different times. No matter what happens, that is going to be a miserble experience for him. I cannot imagine what his talk is going to be about.
I had a thought.. I'll assume that graduation is outdoors.
Should students and faculty be seated in folding chairs, what message would Mr. Thames receive if all of said students and faculty simply turned their chairs around???
That, along with refusing to shake the man's hand when they recieve their degree, should send a clear message I should think..
No - shake the man's hand - don't Thames him ruin what should be a great day for the graduating students and their families. However, if you do shake his hand, just be sure to go straight to the restroom and wash for about 15 minutes....
