Friend, this board has a limited scope, and those on it have a defined purpose. May I respectfully suggest you find another venue for your situation? And may I also add that we do value and appreciate our police very much.

Where do you stand on the crisis at USM, which involves 430 professors whose taxes pay your salary?

I responded to this the first time, so here we go again. If somebody is breaking into my house, I will not be calling the nearest English professor, ok? Nobody underestimates the value of our police and fire officers, who put it on the line for us everyday. One HB cop I know has been called up for military service, like many others, so he's protecting us in yet another way. But this board is about the situation at USM, and we try to keep it limited to that. So if we don't jump into the middle of your situation, that does not mean we are indifferent or uncaring, it just means this is not the place.
