But I notice in the Glossary that B.B. was instrumental in bringing Dr. Doty to campus. I think at the time the Glossary entry was written, that might have been intended as a negative. How will that play out in light of the apparently growing split between the Dean and the Prez?

My sense is that Brian is just as upset with Doty's "insubordination" as Shelby and Hanbury are. Brian would easily side with Shelby over Doty, and if he had it to do again (with hindsight), Brian would have supported another Dean candidate for CBED.
