"I understand tenure wasn’t even a requirement for your position. Is the brouhaha about the tenure issue coming from university professors who perhaps resented a non-Southern Miss, tenured professor making recommendations on whether they are granted tenure?"
Someone decipher that one for me. Brouhaha. Did she come with tenure. Tenure isn't a requirement to be the VP of Research and whatever else?

That is such bull. This isn't the least bit objective. This is an interview designed to promote Dvorak in the court of public opinion.
Question for the ill-informed interviewer: If Angie is "tenured" then why did the Grad Council revoke her grad teaching status? (Answer: Because she has never been tenured at a four-year university!)
This has to be one of the most obvious puff-pieces I have ever read. It doesn't even make a pretense of objectivity. The comment by the INTERVIEWER extolling the credentials of AD's husband is priceless. Once again, the Gang That Can't Shoot Straight win the prize for lack of subtlety.

Of course this article is merely pandering to Dvorak. The illogic is obvious to anyone who is actually thinking: the claim that tenure isn't even a requirement of her current position is a red herring. The issue is whether she misrepresent her credentials, claimed tenure at a school and in a department where she never tauth, and committed fraud by perpetuating the myth that she was teaching with tenure in the department of English at the Unversity of Kentucky in Lexington.
The issue isn't a piddly brouhaha of some disgruntled employees. The issue is fraud and coverup by some unscrupulous and unethical administrators.

sorry for the typo: "she misrepresented" for "she misrepresent"
In regards to MBJ, I believe that there is a connection between them and the Godwin Group. Not to mention, MBJ has always been a public supporter of Dvorak since her Mississippi Technology Institute days... Found that out from googling one day.
So after reading this propaganda, I tried to look up the writer, Lynne Jeter.
Her email address is mbj@thewritingdesk.com. Odd that she wouldn't have her initials be her address, so I tried to visit thewritingdesk.com. It is "under construction". However, Jeter owns the website:
Administrative Contact: Jeter, Pepper lwjeter@yahoo.com thewritingdesk 300 Long Shoals Rd. 4-B Arden, North Carolina 28704 United States 8286871529 Fax -- 8286872873 Technical Contact: Jeter, Pepper lwjeter@yahoo.com thewritingdesk 300 Long Shoals Rd. 4-B Arden, North Carolina 28704 United States 8286871529 Fax -- 8286872873
Now, she evidently does do a lot of writing. She has a book entitled: "Disconnected: Deceit and Betrayal at WorldCom". Here is a scathing review (well, about as scathing as the Clarion-Ledger gets): http://orig.clarionledger.com/news/0303/08/b04.html
Here's her bio from the back flap of this book: "Lynne W. jeter has been the primary WorldCom reporter for the only statewide business journal in Mississippi (home of WorldCom HQ), the Mississippi Business Journal. Jeter has closely followed the company's rise and fall since its inception as LDDS in 1983. As a native Mississippian, Jeter has a solid knowledge of the unique business climate of the Deep South and access to a wealth of information and contacts that no other reporter could possess on this topic. She is also a recular contributing reporter for the Clarion-Ledger, Mississippi's largest daily newspaper. Jeter was named SBA Small Business Journalist of the Year for Mississippi in 1999.
"...that no other reporter could possess"? crank up the propaganda machine...
Finally, I checked for other "hard hitting" Lynne interviews. Here's one with Thad Cochran: http://www.pointeinnovation.ms/thad.html
Sigh...no wonder Angie Baby agreed to the "interview".

Oh, yeah, no problem. I forgot about things like copyright in the heat of the posting moment!
'Reporter': Yes, I understand Mark's credintials are impeccable?
'AD': Of course, he did graduate from Thomas M Cooley School of Law, only the 142nd best law school in America! And recently, he hasn't missed an episode of Regis and Kelly in 3 years. Just last year we won a free trip to Bermuda because Mark remembered that Sting, who was on the show the day before, had a babysitter who was also named Kelly. Small world, everyone had a good laugh. You see, Mark's a great people person.
This is getting to be a bit too much. You know, I thought yesterday was bad enough posting the thread with responses to e-mails from legislators but now I have had the opportunity to overhear a conversation that if the facts are true Dvorak in HR has never interviewed with the Business Journal or Jeter.
Are we gettign sloppy? If this is in fact true and we cannot prove this thread then we have serious problems!!!
You might not like what I just said but we are missing the focus. We can do this without making untrue and potentially defamatory statements placing someone in a false light. I do not want to take part in that so before I make further comments in support of G&S, I would ask FS to remove these threads that will get us ALL in trouble.
I don't understand your point. Who said anything about Mark Dvorak being interviewed by MBJ. If you read the article, there is a quote from his wife explaining his background and how he got the job. I don't believe that anyone said anything to the contrary.
NOTICE: for anyone missing the point of above post, the comments were intended as HUMOR...as far as I know, the Dvorak in HR has never witnessed an episode of Regis and Kelly...
I am posting this in a different name than I would usually post because parties close to me may know my identity by the nature of what I am going to say.
Jeter is known for getting the 'dirty inside' views of those she writes about. Examples include quoting things she overheard Tim McGraw and Faith Hills children say when she interviewed them before their concert at the Jackson Zoo. Second example is the WorldCom book.
Jeter lived close to me in Ridgeland, Mississippi for a few years before she moved to North Carolina where she resides now while she continues to write for the clarion ledger and MBJ.
Jeter's husband went to USM and despised it, so this article somewhat surprised me.
This last bit of information is being added to show the character of the Jeter family. I have waited for almost exactly 5 years to have the perfect time to express what I am about to say. Five years ago, after a confrontation about the mental capacity of Mr. Jeter, Mrs. Jeter's son attacked me, and please understand that I am a girl. I will not deny that I provoked Jeter in a pointless argument, but I did not ask to be attacked.
