I'm not going to add anything about an emergency meeting of the IHL Board until I get confirmation that one is happening.
I think the struggle between Thames' remaining sponsors and those Board members who are sick of him and the bad publicity he brings is getting intense, maybe even a little desperate.
And don't knock the press in Mississippi. I think many on this board don't realize how hard it is to get newspapers in some other parts of the country to cover serious administrative malfeasance at a university.
Robert is right about media coverage; there has been surprisingly much of it compared to what could be expected in some places. Fortunately USM is the biggest thing in Hattiesburg, so the HA gives it much more coverage than would be the case elsewhere.
