Klumb's comments on tenure

Does anyone know where I can find a transcript of Reichsführer Klump's comments about the institution of tenure?  One of my profs needs it.

Thanks

I don't have it, but I know he said something in an opinion piece to the Sun Herald.  He refers to tenure always as (something like) "a committment of lifetime employment--something the average American does not have!," as if he's trying to fire up the general public against the tenure system.  He said something similar during last Sunday's 10:30 WLOX show with Dave Elliott.  Also referred to it derisively as the "tenure club."  What a shmuck.  Did anyone get a transcript of that show?

So, anyway, I'd look around the Sun Herald archives.  His opinion piece was some time ago, before the hearing.  Hope this helps.

If Klumb said it, it should be in the archives here.  Look on the LBN page, at the top.  Noel Polk's rebuttal is there.

No...the one on the LBN page has to do with Klumb bitching about getting anonymous letters from Hattiesburg.

I was referring to his comments on WLOX Sunday night.  I looked on the LBN page, but didn't see what I was looking for.

The comment I'm looking for is the one where Klumb basically states that tenure needs to be done away with.

If anyone is able to get a transcript of Klumb's comments on the Dave Elliott Show, this will also be helpful to me when I write about Klumb in the future.

I know they offer video duplicates of any show ($40), but I am not sure about transcripts.

The average American does not have a management job in a "family business" given to him, either. We aren't talking about a guy who built his little empire from the ground up. Roy's daddy did that for him.

Evidently Klumb's position on tenure is not new. You may want to see his June 12, 2003 letter-to-the-editor of the Jackson Clarion-Ledger in which he says, ". . . thanks to that arcane rule of tenure . . ."   This quote comes from the same letter in which Klumb gave the USM President some ill conceived advice, namely, "My advice to Dr. Thames is, to borrow a phrase: Damn the torpedoes; full speed ahead."
