My meeting with Dr. and Mrs. Hartwig was touching.  What they've done in support of your cause is beyond words.

I went back to campus late this morning and caught up with my risk manager.  His associate was meeting with SGA president Walt Cain.  After speaking with some COST faculty, we slipped into the dome and walked into VP of Financial Affairs Greg Lassen's office.  We surprised him a bit, he was putting the finishing touches on a term paper for his economic development class.  I pulled up some of USM's financial statements --- they were atrocious.  You guys need an audit, and bad!

My RM's associate met back with us at the fountain.  He said dealing with Walt Cain is just a waste of time.  Just a bunch of pol-babble that goes nowhere.  He did inform Cain that the Varsity Voice was not going to get off the ground.

We had lunch at Copeland's with Brad Brian.  Brian had suggested we go to Anderson's Seafood Restaurant, but we consulted "the list" and told him "no, just meet us at Copeland's."  Brian tried to lay the tired ole "Shelby is doer" stuff on us.  My RM broke him off saying "enough with this turtle president horse$h*! ..."  Brian was pretty much quiet from there.  We explained to him that Pepsi is a darn good soft drink, and that he should be very careful.

Well, now for the news of the day.  Mark is gone.  That's 2.  The score is tied 2-2, and we've got our rally caps on still.  I'll have more later tonight after dinner.  My risk manager and I are dining at Conestoga with Joey Fillingane and Tom King.  My RM's associate is heading to Chesterfield's to meet Mr Oliver of Forrest General Hospital about Hospital privileges of Dr. McCann and some others over there.

Be back soon.

What great news!  Dvorak must not be far behind.
