Hi everyone--

We had lunch with several people in the business community.  They brought up the day's work for a day's pay argument.  It took about 2 hours, but I think we disabused them of it.  Does the term "bankers' hours" mean anything to you all?  That was how my risk manager's associate put it.  Being bankers (many of them), they were disabused of that argument quickly.

During dessert one of them floated the "university people are all liberals and the rest of us are conservative" argument.  My risk manager, without saying a word, simply pulled back his suit coat a little bit and they all saw he was "holstered up."  That alone shut that argument down (we are pro guns --- not a pillar of modern liberalism).

Tomorrow we are having breakfast with a few of them.  They want to float the "Thames is the boss" argument.  I must admit, this will be difficult for me given the way I administer TCLS.  I think my RM's associate can handle it.
