No worries. I think maybe FS or another freedom fighter sought to zap Leaker, sorry Seeker, into cyberpoo so that we could continue to discuss the alleged new developments. Keep up the talk, as this site and its supporters will be around for a while. Like someone posted earlier "There's no more fear here."

Can anyone provide more details? Why has thus speculation suddenly begun today? Is there any hard evidence to support it? Would TH be an interim president, and, if so, how long would his term last?

Just speculating on some recent rumors to pass the time--try this scenario, for entertainment purposes only.

1. Someone reported earlier, on this message board, that Hudson would be named interim USM President within days.

2. A subsequent report placed HA reporters on campus today, preparing a background story on Hudson's pending appointment--if true, then someone at the paper must know what's going on.

3. Marc Dvorak reportedly has packed up and vacated his USM office, with no accompanying announcement of either a resignation, or a lateral move within the USM administration.

4. Marc's lovely and charming wife has become virtually invisible on campus.

If the report on Hudson is accurate, wouldn't his Presidency, be it interim or otherwise, be accompanied by a purge of the Thames sycophants, including both the Dvoraks? This would explain the abrupt Hanbury resignation, the mysterious Dvorak office abandonment, and a few other odd occurrences as well.

I know nothing. In the current information vacuum, I'm just trying to piece together some pieces of the puzzle. Feel free to poke holes in my construction and underlying assumptions.

A person can post anything they want here. Of course, some of them -- trolls -- see their posts deleted. I could start a thread that Fire Shelby was going to be appointed interim president & you'd be reading that, no?

Reporters might be on campus covering almost anything. Did anyone stop the reporter & ask what they were researching?

There was a single report that "boxes were stacked" in Mark Dvorak's office. That's it. Speculation ran wild afterwards. For all we know, he just got a new PC for his desk & they hadn't hauled out the packaging.

Was she visible on campus before? Even if her visibility has dropped of late, that indicates nothing more than that she realizes what a hog waller she's gotten herself into.

Not meaning to rain on the parade around here, but seriously, the rumors about Hudson's ascendancy & Mark Dvorak's firing do not appear to be substantiated.

Hey Invictus,

Your skepticism and alternate explanations are well taken. My disclaimer indicated that I knew nothing, and was merely speculating for my own amusement. That said, the earlier reports I cited, now deleted from this message board, were generated by regular "posters" to this board, all claiming reliable sources. I was just constructing a plausible framework that accomodated all the latest rumors, but made no claim as to it's accuracy. I certainly don't mind your poking holes in my scenario; in fact, I invited it. By all means, continue the critical thinking. Your analytic voice is one of the more incisive I've heard, and keeps us all focused. Oops, it's quittin time....and that means happy hour.
