Forgive me if something like this has already been proposed...
An idea for faculty participating in graduation ceremonies this week:
As faculty members line up in the Payne Center before graduation ceremonies, is it not true that the "platform party" (including SFT) will walk through the vast lines of waiting faculty members at some point in order to get to the head of the group, and then lead the march from the Payne Center to the coliseum?
If so, and in keeping with the symbolism of the quarter coin representing the "No Quarter" rally, wouldn't it be nice to have faculty members bring a number of quarters with them and "jingle" them (loudly) in their pockets as the platform party walks by? (sa-LUTE!)
Not only would it be a display of solidarity among faculty, but it might also give you a good idea of how many people are lurking on the boards and have been looking for a way to show their feelings.

Its a fine idea, but its a little difficult to get your hand in your pocket when you're wearing a gown...
