I had posted before about this, but it was right before you posted an updated list, so it must have been passed over...I know David Davies will be the interim director for the School of Journalism and Mass Comm after Goff leaves , but I'm afraid SFT will unseat him for yet another crony.  Worse yet, he might decide to dismantle the whole deal (by now, he is no fan of the J-school or the Printz).  Any word on a search for a permanent director, or even the status of the SJMC?

This has the makings of a real disaster.  The Printz is the last really free voice around.  I have  looked to them for the real goods, and have encouraged others to read them online.

No diaster LVN.............

It is just "grief" over "restructuring", it's just
the normal downsizing we need to be an efficient, money making machine.

Who cares if Ole Miss and Mississippi State are picking up our pieces. We have Polymer and tech.

Heck, I'll bet Southern Miss might one day have even $500,000 in patent income. Boy, that will put us in the top 50 US News and World Report. We can give up all our state support then, and be self sufficient. What a grand and glorious day.

I do believe that I received an email a little over a week ago that said we have another librarian departing by the end of May '04. Can someone confirm that?
