Hello everyone:

My risk manager's brother-in-law, the prof who gave Angeline the D+ at TCLS, called this morning and said that he hadn't yet heard from Angeline regarding his proposal.  He did say that the two profs that were investigating me back at TCLS were still doing so as of the time he left Michigan the other day, even though I asked them to stop.  Well, things have gone far enough.  Just this afternoon my risk manager, his associate and I met at the Mannoni Performing Arts Center and held a no-confidence vote in the the two faculty.  The vote was 3 to 0 in favor of "no confidence," so I called the chief of my campus security force and had their office locks changed this afternoon.  Tomorrow when they show up for work, they will be escorted off of campus and told they are no longer employed by TCLS.  They can appeal that decision to me, but I think I know how that one will go.

I just called my wife to let her know there could be some turmoil on campus (we actually live in the mansion on campus), but that the security force should have everything under control.  They will start with rubber bullets, but probably won't have to go beyond that.  She said to say hello, and that she was pulling for you all in your struggles down here in the old south.  She thanked me profusely for the roses I sent her.  I said "don't thank me, thank Shelby.."  Obviously, she was puzzled at that one.  She had to go and play tennis (she's 26 yrs. old), so I wished her good luck and said "goodbye."

My daughter (5 yrs. old) got on the phone to say hello to daddy.  She wants to come to Hattiesburg to visit, and perhaps play with Glamser/Stringer grandchildren.  I said that could be arranged.  I told her that mommy had said that her room had gotten messy, and that she was to get in there and clean immediately.  She replied, "...with reasonable men I will reason, but to tyrants I will give no quarter nor waste arguments where they will certainly be lost...."   I asked her if that meant she was telling me "no," but she dropped the phone and ran off crying.  I'll deal with that situation later.

In the meantime FSites, keep up the good work.  Gene Saucier's column today is a shot in the arm.  Let's keep the heat on this summer.  They're on the run.

The Judge
