Goose,

I have a feeling that you have no historical connection whatsoever to this university.  I'm a student here, and throughout my life, I have had the great privelege to know amazing faculty here who have made it their lives' goals to enrich the university and its student body.  Some of them have since died; I can't tell you how depressing it is to see such excellent leaders' work being jeopardized by the actions of one administrator.  

I neither agree with Dr Thames, nor do I choose to abandon the university that I love so deeply.  The university that I know did NOT become great because of Dr Shelby Thames -- it was because of the selfless accomplishments of a caring, fearless faculty.
