Over 500 Fire Shelby flyers were distributed at the last protest. I don't recall seeing any left on the ground.
Thanks for the advice. I have hundreds of small flyers I want to get out. I am worried that it may litter the campus. On the other hand, a lot of people have been saving these types of things as souveneirs I guess.
Why isn't there more 'support tables' across campus? Not everyone has a class in the LAB? Why not set up outside of the hub? Pass out flyers there, get people to sign petitions, sell stickers.
Very good idea. We do need a table a the Hub. Do you have to have permission or be a "legitamate group" to have a table at the hub? We would also need people to sit at the table.
BTW, I have been trying very hard to advertise in the science buildings (Walker Science & Bobbie Chain Tower) It's difficult to keep the flyers up over there. Also been working the Fine Arts buildings.
One of the best ways 2 advertise = "by word of mouth" Tell everyone you know, start converstions by asking people if they're goin.
Technically, to setup any table on campus you have to be a group with approval from student activities. It just so happens that nobody in the LAB has happened to ban the info table from the lobby. An info table on other parts of campus is a great idea, especially for Monday and Tuesday, although it may get banned. Maybe instead, people could position themselves strategically with a sign to draw attention and flyers to hand out? If we could have at least five people around campus doing this on Monday and Tuesday, plus the LAB lobby table, we could reach A LOT of folks.
Maybe a meetup for interested folks this weekend would be a good idea to coordinate?

I agree...name the time and place. We could also use help canvassing the 'Burg.

Don't forget that "art walK" is this weekend -- lots of opportunity to get the word out. Some of the galleries might let you post and a few people wearing signs or sandwich boards advertising the Tuesday event will be noticed. The Dance folk are doing public events -- some of them are active in the movement and can probably help if they aren't already planning something. And the T-shirts -- wear them. Oh, by the way, are they still on sale over at the LAB -- gotta get mine!
