I just wanted to put word out about a sign-making and planning meetup on the evening before the April 6 protest. Interested parties should meet at Javawerks around 7:00 on Monday, April 5. I have told the staff at Javawerks that there may be a crowd and they thanked us for the heads-up. Bring markers, posterboard, and whatever else you might think would be useful.
I had heard that the students in CSUSM were running low on cash. Do they or other people showing up for the sign making party need a donation of supplies?
This might be one of those opportunities for those invisible supporters who don't want to (or can't) hold a sign themselves, but might want to make it possible for someone else to make one.
It would be great if any invisible donors would like to donate supplies for signmaking. They could have a rep drop off donations at Javawerks tomorrow evening or anytime in the LAB lobby at the information table, or maybe let FireShelby know that they would like to donate and FireShelby could contact Concerned Students somehow. The Concerned Students are grateful for any help, anonymous or otherwise.

I'd like to thank of all you guys with CSUSM for working so hard at keeping this issue in the public eye and making sure people know that a lot of students are concerned and care. There are a lot of fronts in this struggle and you all are certainly keeping the pressure on.

Be sure to read the thread about flyer distribution.

Yeah, I am thoroughly impressed by that energy. I have urged my students to go ("you have an interest in taking a side on behalf of your own education so at least go and inform yourselves . . ." ) and my own faculty as well. I think (from various sources) you can consider the media besieged with multiple invitations. Let's hope that collectively we can deliver some numbers. I've another engagement Monday nite or I'd help make signs -- but I'll pass the word in my department . . .
