Wouldn't it be interesting if someone were to send FOIA requests asking to inspect and copy...
All documents related to financial transactions between USM and Pileum Corp.?
All documents related to permission to advertise, interview, and hire persons such as Dvorak, Dvorak, Hanbury, Malone, and Lassen, et al.
And all EEOC documents and records associated with all administrative searches including racial profile of the applicant pool. (Does anyone believe that there wasn't a single qualified minority applicant?)
And let's add Professor Richard Hadden, MD to the list. Please see "Gulf Coast Campus in Shambles" thread for background. Why is it that so many of the problems seem to stem from Economic Development?
because the chair of Economic Development (aka the COO of Gulf Park and former Development Officer for Science and Technology) doesn't know ANYTHING about Economic Development.
The problem isn't Economic Development in and of itself... it is the DEFINITION that Shelby and CO. use to define it.
True Economic Development would support and sustain the university and ALL of it's programs understanding that true E.D. is best when using a wholistic approach... Arts and Sciences, English and Polymers, building on strengths while strengthening weaknesses (not that the programs Shelby and Co. are attacking are weak -- to them, they are perceived weaknesses because they just don't understand them.)
What they are doing is NOT Economic Development... what they are doing IS narrow-minded, tunnelled visioned, limited in adaptability, and just plain stupid.
