Just out of curiosity, I've read a lot of ranting and criticism about the SGA on this forum and in the Printz. In the interest of being pro-active, what could or should we encourage the student government to be doing in this situation? I believe that new senators have been appointed recently - maybe a change is in order to take back self-government of the students? Also, despite his diplomatic PR, does anyone have a clue what Walt Cain is up to that he spent that much money on his campaign? I personally would do a lot of other things first with that kind of money...
I thought that I read an article (but can't remember where) that listed what all of the candidates spent. I remember that most ran very expensive campaigns, some in the thousands of dollars. I got a kick out of the one young man (think he was elected as VP) who spent something like $25 for posters and markers in comparison.
