get the hearing moved to Jackson, that he doesn't want it held at USM.

"Curiouser and curiouser."

It makes sense for him, right?  Why would he want an open hearing on very hostile territory?  He wants to move it to Jackson because (he's hoping) there will be fewer protesters right outside the building.  (Ironic, isn't it?  His own university is hostile territory.)

FS -- you must have a pipeline to the mind of God. Thanks for keeping us updated on this. You know, this is OK -- the more crap like this he pulls the worse he looks.

Ah, blessed transparency!

LOL!  Well, I, for one, happen to believe that the Almighty is on our side.  What is right will prevail.

Thanks for giving me a good laugh!  The message board has supplied several of those today--especially the Klum thread.

Well, I think most of us know how to get to Jackson, right?

Oh sure.  It was just a thought.  Maybe he's thinking that it would just be that much easier for students to protest in between classes if the hearings were right on campus.  Fewer would want to hit the road to Jackson.  I dunno.

What else could his motivation possibly be?  Cut me some slack...it's difficult for me to predict the motivations of a madman.

Any other thoughts on why he wants it in Jackson?

Go, go, go.  If I was in the state and in the position to go, I'd go.

REALLY, I don't think that Anderson will allow it to be moved.  So far, the only request of Thames he has granted is the open hearing, and that is only because Adelman agreed.  I can't see him changing his mind--he stated the hearing would be on campus, and I am sure that it will be.  The whole purpose of the open hearing is to give the USM community access.  How would that be achieved by moving to to JXN?

And I DO agree that people need to be prepared to make statements on April 28-29.  I suggest wearing shirts protesting Thames to the hearing.  While signs might not be allowed (I don't know this) there is NO WAY you can be turned back because of your clothing.

There are still Polk or McMillen T-shirts available. The e-mail address was back on some earlier thread (?), or perhaps Amy Young and/or the CSUSM still have some. The price was a $20 donation to the AAUP legal defense fund, but I've heard that the student price had been reduced after April 6 . . .

I heard from a well-placed source that it was going to be upstairs in the Union.  Makes sense for it to be there.  They can all just nip down to Seymour's for some Java Joe (or whatever that place is called) when the going gets rough!
