Another bit of news...I heard that USM's Office of Research and Sponsored Programs is going to merge with the Office of Grants and Contract Accounting (or whatever Cheryl Mowdy's office is called).  Not really good nor bad news...just news (since I used to work in ORSP, I can see where having pre- and post-award offices under one roof makes sense.  Many other universities have these functions in one office).  I'm sure the move was precipitated by Cheryl Mowdy leaving, though.
