Tutorial # 2: putting images in your post
Permalink Closed

If you would like to place an image in your post, I will provide instruction on how to do this.

First, a few rules:

Photos in posts are really nice and spice up a message board, but let's not spice it up too much.  No inapproprate images, please. (We already know what Hooters Girls look like. )

Please don't post huge images.  For the people on dial-up, this can present a problem.  Also, we don't want all of our bandwidth to be spent on photographs. If the posting of photos results in drag on our bandwidth, I will edit out the photos.  No hard feelings intended, but the main purpose of the site is discussion.

Here is a good photo host you can use if you have personal images you want to put up on the board:

www.photobucket.com

It's easy to use and free.

Ok, here is how you place an image in a post.

Find an image on the internet that you want to put in your post.  Right-click your mouse on the image, and then click on "copy."

Then come to the message board, hit new topic or reply.  When the text window opens up, right click in the window and then click paste.  Hit your enter button once.  Then hit "submit post."

Viola!  You have a picture in your post!

If you would like to put a small icon in your posts, kind of like your own personal signature avatar, that's fine with me.  YOu can place one in every post, but please keep your signature image below 100X100 pixels.

If you have any questions about anything in this post, please reply, and I will help you to the best of my ability.
