Since I believe so strongly in the importance of the online petition, I thought I would make it one of my jobs to post a daily count of the number of signatures. At present there are 302. Surely we can double this number by the end of the month! I particularly encourage "outsiders," who can safely sign their names, to take advantage of this opportunity to come to the aid of the good folks at USM.
So good to see so many new signatures! I would love to set a goal of 500 signatures by next week's hearings. That's less than 200 more new signatures...we can do it!
I've recieved - so far - 6 replies who are signing it - I have now thought of about 40 people that I left out in my first post. Come on, folks this is huge.

I have managed to elicit promised of four. That's not much, but I'm working on it. I must not know enough people.

Super! It's an online only petition, so make sure they have access to a computer terminal.
That should have been signature, not signateur (which somehow seems French, but isn't). When I go to view signatures, I can't see any signatures. What gives?

You're on there. You're #310. After clicking on "view signatures," scroll down and click "316." You're on that page.

Sorry, that isn't true. Nothing about my signature appears after clicking 316.

Sorry, that provides nothing either. Your computer may be different, but nothing shows on mine.

I clicked on the link and scrolled down a bit. NOTHING. Help!
Then, scroll down a little and you'll see in big print "317 Total Signatures." Below that it says "View Signatures: 317267217 etc." Click on the 317 link right there. Then when the new page comes up, scroll down some. You should see a list of names.

I really don't want to be such a pain, but absolutely NOTHING comes up when I scroll down on the new page. Guess I'll just quit with my concern. I haven't seen any names on the petition, including mine.

Robert, I went to the petition and saved a screenshot. Here it is:
Also, you said you didn't know what a reload button is.
Here is what the reload button looks like:
Hope this helps and that you will come back to this message board. Thanks for signing Truth4USM's petition.
Thanks for your help. I received an e-mail saying that my signature had been recorded. After clicking on the appropriate items in that location, everything worked. Doing so on the message board site offered no signature listing, however. Perhaps there is a problem with either my computer or its owner (very probably the latter). My refresh button didn't tell me it was also a reload button, Computer jargon has always bugged me.
Keep up your good effort in the name of academic freedom.
We're at 327 at 8 a.m. (CST). I saw that colleagues from BYU, Central Florida, Illinois State, Univ. of Gerogia, univ. of Oklahoma, New Mexico State, and Oklahoma State University had signed it. Let's keep it going!!!!!
