I am thinking about starting a thread tomorrow before the hearing begins for the sole purpose of posting the 15-minute updates from the Hattiesburg American website. No discussion on that one thread, just posting updates to chronicle the hearing as it happens for reference purposes and for visitors to the messageboard tomorrow.
Of course, discussions can then occur in however many other threads develop. But we could keep that one "Update" thread free of discussion and everyone contribute when they can to updating the thread. I won't be able to do this all day, so I need to know if regular visitors/contributors to the board 1) think this is a good idea, and 2) will contribute by adding updates as they are posted on the Hattiesburg American website.
Oh, and should I pin this proposed thread to the top of the page, for easy access?
I definately think it should be "Sticky" - concern about that in the past has been that it would be ignored - that won't happen tomorrow - too much interest - plus you can differentiate it somehow. There will be so much discussion that any other scenario will require its constant kicking.
and if some of us who will be online can keep the polite reminder about the thread's purpose bumped for some new or less familiar with our community -- and if they are definitely trolls - what then?

I am planning on being here most of the day tomorrow with my troll zapper, unless I attend the hearing in the morning. I will probably be near the computer, though, instead of at the Union.
