As I listened to Thames' testimony and the "facts" that he's asked us all to wait on for so many weeks now, I was disturbed. Sure, I knew going in it was going to be a weak case. But "weak" is an overstatement --- it was nonexistent. One thing that struck me was the complete lack of judgement he possesses. At this point, I think the USM community faces some greater-than-zero chance of a presidential meltdown; I actually think there is some cause for concern about a "physical" event in the future that might be pretty ugly, as opposed to his normal course of behavior where he simply ruins reputations at no expense, etc. You might think I'm joking, but I'm really not. This is not an individual in control of himself, and his advisors seem to lack judgement in the same way he does. This could get worse in his final days (whenever those are).
