I'm trying to think of a comment, but all I can come up with is what a bunch of idiots we have in the admin. -I didn't sign any agreement not to trash the admin.

He IS now the "University Attorney"?  What happened to Lee Gore?

seems to be bolstering the admin. when they should be packing. especially hanbury, who was carted in at $140,00 to be st's henchman.

wonder what the process is for AG status?

Earlier today I asked why Jim Hood was in the meeting.  I hate to join the ranks of those who see a conspiracy everytime the wind blows, but if this is true, it's hard not to see it as part of a deal.  For one thing, if Hanbury works for the AG and not the Prez, he can't be fired by the next Prez.

Wonder what the full deal is?

Didn't one of the profs point this out during his "rebuttal" on Wednesday, that Hanbury wasn't the college attorney?

This looks like an ex post facto correction of a perjured statement. Might Judge Anderson have told AG Hood to get his act together & make Hanbury "legal" before something really ugly happened?

[Is the State of Mississippi utterly bankrupt morally & ethically? This reminds me of Cliff Finch for some reason...]

I was struggling all afternoon with the decision.  I'm like Bill Scarborough, thinking we lost.  When I heard the Hanbury story, it cemented the idea in my mind that USM is doomed.  I really feel very sorry for all you alums out there.

You all know I have been a big supporter of our cause, and will continue to be.  But I can't even fathom now what victory even looks like.  Jim Hood essentially signed off on Jack Hanbury this afternoon, past actions and all.

Word on the street is that Harold Doty and Tim Hudson are in serious jeapardy now.  Someone told me this afternoon that if Doty lasts through the next week it'll be a miracle.  I also heard Ken Malone was gloating all around campus this afternoon.  What a train wreck.  Once again, my condolescences to everyone who loves and cares for this university.

Truly strange.  Hanberry I believe is the one who was advising Shelby and help to create this mess.  In addition, he was the person who monitored the e-mails, if I understood Shelby's testimony.  Somehow, someone up top doesn't get it.  They all have to go.  I would love to hear Lee's take on this.
