My sources tell me that nursing has 9 unfilled vacancies right now. They may admit as few as 30 undergraduate nursing students, half the normal amount. That young man at Jones quoted in the H-A might be out of luck.
They are losing 4 at Hattiesburg, the others are at Gulf Coast and Meridean.
They accepted 40 students for the fall, they usually accept 60. They accepted no doctoral students, and are having trouble funding the graduate assistants already there
I updated a list of the recently departed from USM, but it seems to have disappeared. I will try again, with additions...
1. Jan Delancey, CPA / USM Foundation...home. Looking for a job. Anything is better than the work environment under Tim Ryan (SFT clone - likes to belittle and scream at the employees) at the Foundation.
2. Helena Lassiter, Development Officer (COS&T) / USM Foundation...a job in Petal. Stayed about two months.
3. Jean Weisenburg, Development Officer, Gulf Coast / USM Foundation. Went into banking on the coast, now moving to Alaska with Denis, who will be the Dean, College of Marine Science and Fisheries, U. of Alaska.
4. Suzanne Hersch, Development Officer (COTA) / USM Foundation. Currently with the Arts Council of New Orleans.
5. Ian Skilling, resigned. Currently at the U. Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pa.
6. Robert Ingram, Director / USM Economic Development. Currently with the ADP / Greenville, Ms.
7, Joan Stevens, USM Foundation. Retired.
There are a bunch more, but I will see if these get posted first.

OB:
I can't find Ian Skilling in the USM Directory. Who is he and when did he leave? Also, didn't Robert Ingram leave last year (please let me know).
I am adding Delancey, Wiesenberg, Hirsch and Stevens. I can't find Lassiter in the directory but I am adding her for now.

indy eagle,
thanks, but Ron missed the cut line for this year's list (he is on last year's).
