Thank you for responding, Senator. I have heard that the no-confidence resolution might be tabled tomorrow. I hope you all go forward with it. We have the momentum now--let's not lose it.
We appreciate your hard work. Will the meeting on the coast be open? I won't be able to attend, but know that I am with you in thought as you make several important decisions tomorrow.
FS seems right about momentum. If you don't act now, the summer will soon be here, and SFT will be able to say that the departure of Hanbury and the founding of the new "Council" (aka Rubber Stamp Replacement Senate) and other such measures have begun the "healing process." He will also be able to discount the significance of the pre-hearing no-confidence votes.
I too implore the FACSEN to take another no confidence vote in Thames, just to show Klumb that even after all of the eivdence was shown, you still don't believe in Thames.
You have a voice, use it, use it loudly! Show Thames and the IHL board the bared teeth of an angry animal. Let them know that if necessary this animal will bite.
Once again my prayers are with you as you travel to the Coast for the meeting. Been there, its lovely. Now go get em guys and gals.

If you still have "I support Glamser and Stringer" buttons with plastic covers, it is easy to convert them to "I support the faculty senate" buttons. Turn the paper over, or add new paper.
still have a few that were unused. lab means "Liberal Arts" for those who thought I was smokin something...i'm generally on the back porch at a table with about 6 other "rabble rousers"
I'm with Lovebirds on this. The vote that should be taken is the call for his resignation; if this can be followed with a full-faculty referendum, that would speak strongly (though the timing is very difficult here because of the semester's end).
Don't forget that FacSen will also move today on the email scandal.
And I imagine there will be discussion of the odious "President's Council" idea. Senators, I know you can see through this one. You won't be misled, I'm sure, into seeing this as some kind of breakthrough. It's just the opposite.
And for that very reason the vote to call for Thames's resignation is crucial.

AMEN!
Let's hope the official announcement about the new risk manager (MD?) occurs before the vote, just to give the senators added impetus.
