PLEASE, Governor Barbour, intervene with the incoming IHL Board and end the disastrous Thames administration at USM.  Every day that goes by brings some new national embarrassment to that formerly great university and to the state of Mississippi. Perhaps you are not aware of all that has been happening at USM.  If not, may I suggest that you visit the following website:

The heart of any university is its faculty.  This faculty has totally lost confidence in President Thames.  Good faculty are leaving in droves, and the prospects of recruiting good replacements while President Thames is in office are remote.  No good teacher in his right mind would want to come to USM right now.  A wonderful university that once brought honor to your state is in the process of being destroyed.  Please act now!

Someone on another thread suggested that writing to the governor may now be a very good thing to do, since he presumably has some influence over the new IHL board members.  Obviously I agree; hence I am bumping this again.
