Sometime last month I was able to find a regular email address for the governor, but I can no longer find that on his site (perhaps I am looking in the wrong place). In any case, here is a link to a more elaborate fill-in-the-blank form for anyone who wants to use it. It may be time to begin pressuring Barbour to pressure the new IHL board.
The on-line form contains three boxes; messages in each box are limited to 1000 characters each. Here are the messages I posted in boxes 1 and 3; in box 2 ("How would you like the Governor to help?") I simply typed "Fire Shelby!"

PLEASE, Governor Barbour, intervene with the incoming IHL Board and end the disastrous Thames administration at USM. Every day that goes by brings some new national embarrassment to that formerly great university and to the state of Mississippi. Perhaps you are not aware of all that has been happening at USM. If not, may I suggest that you visit the following website:
There you will find many eloquent and lengthy postings describing the disarray into which USM has fallen. You can be a hero if you fix this problem.
================================
The heart of any university is its faculty. This faculty has totally lost confidence in President Thames. Good faculty are leaving in droves, and the prospects of recruiting good replacements while President Thames is in office are remote. No good teacher in his right mind would want to come to USM right now. A wonderful university that once brought honor to your state is in the process of being destroyed. Please act now!
Sorry about the underlining in the second half of my post.
By the way, although the form asks for name, address, phone number, etc., there's no reason why worried USM faculty can't be creative in filling these in. Name: Batman. Address: Batcave. You get the idea.
Someone on another thread suggested that writing to the governor may now be a very good thing to do, since he presumably has some influence over the new IHL board members. Obviously I agree; hence I am bumping this again.
