Tonight has been quite productive. Had a good working dinner with Tom King and Joey Fillingane. Right now my risk manager and I are in a rented van parked outside the President's home on Jamestown Road. We've got a lot of surveillance equipment here with us, and a disgruntled employee of iTech is helping us out. We've been able to pick up several phone conversations (Shelby is using a cordless phone so our scanner is working quite well for us).
First, he called Lisa Mader's house and asked if she was working on that report for him. She said "yes, Dr. Thames." We know that she just lied to him because you could hear C.E. Moore and my risk manager's associate in the background. From what we could tell, the three of them weren't working.
He's had several calls from Jack Hanbury. Hanbury keeps asking "what am I supposed to do now?" and "have you called Krandall Howell about me yet?" In one conversation, Hanbury broke down and Shelby hung up on him.
Shelby got two quick calls, one from Roy Klumb and the other from Bud Holmes. Nothing significant in those.
He made one call himself, to a "Jeff Bower." He cursed at him several times about some football game against California or something. We didn't understand that one, and the iTech kid said he's not a sports fan and didn't know either.
We'll be here all night (we're sleeping in the van). I'll be back in touch in the a.m.

Thomas, is Shelby trying to get Hack hired on as "risk manager" for Krandall's car lot? I heard that he needs one.
Rumor has it that, several months ago, Howell cursed out a long-time female employee (yes, he even used the "f-word") and fired her on the spot. I hear she has hired a lawyer. Wonder if Hack will represent Howell.
