Heard at a party last week that SFT took the entire marching band out of class the day before finals to march in a parade-last semester. He was to be grand marshall, but he didn't show up. Anyone know if this is true? If so, the kids missed the last day of class in the fall semester to go to Greemville--or some some place. Also heard the alum that arranged for him to be grand marshall was very mad.
It is true about the band. I have no idea whether or not Shelby was there.
The orchestra is being required to play at graduation on Friday (on a week's notice, I hear). Some of them have had to reschedule their scheduled Friday exams.
It's true. And they all got sick because it was cold and rainy. They missed the final day of review in their MWF classes.Band and Dixie Darlings, too, I think.

The orchestra might want to cleverly slip in a few stanzas of songs from the Titanic.
Actually, I think over in music, they're happy to provide the services. If they don't, Thames will simply decide the university doesn't need an orchestra. (After all, it doesn't play at the football games, right?)
