USM loses soccer coach today!

I believe his wife is the daughter of the women's BB coach who left for Gardner-Webb. Elon College would be much closer than USM.

i understand he got a $15,000 raise. and elon is a step down in soccer quality.

Elon may be a step down in soccer quality, but it is many, many steps up in quality of life. Unlike USM, Elon College is in a state that believes in educating its young people in excellent public schools and outstanding univeristies. His children are fortunate, indeed, to be moving to North Carolina.

He's a good guy -- a straight shooter with quirky and interesting political views. I'm sorry we are losing him but Bay Rat is right . . . he and his family will probably be better off there. It is a very beautful part of NC . . .
