I just received a copy of the LSU Press guide for fall books and Dr. Hollandsworth's book An Absolute Massacre:The New Orleans Race Riot of July 30, 1866 is due out in October.  It has rave reviews and it just goes to show that that he IS/WAS qualified to teach a history class at USM!


I am ordering my copy for sure!

I would love to take credit for a new book, but in reality, what this fine person is referring to is the release of a paperback version of an earlier work. Nevertheless, I like your spunk!

I know everyone knows this, but I just have to say it:

the thought of Angeline Dvorak, who never wrote an important scholarly work in her life, telling Jim that he was unqualified to teach history . . .

well, words do not suffice!!!!

Jim,your hardback must have sold out and then some; and now you'll have a whole new readership that goes for the more affordable format (but who am I to tell you this?!). So, congrats again!
