I'm sure that SFT is thrilled that the FS website is coming down Friday. In light of this, it'd be great if we could find someway to keep it going and since Fire Shelby can't maintain it any longer, for whatever reason, what about passing on the responsibilities of "Fire Shelby" to someone else. The only analogy I can think of, and this is silly but, something like Zorro. In one of the two types of Zorro legends, the title character and current Zorro is either a direct descendant of the original Zorro or is someone who has heard of the legend and takes on the mask of Zorro - or in our case the moniker of Fire Shelby. In both, the original identity remains anonymous, as well as that of the new one. And, at some point in the future the mask of Fire Shelby may need to be passed on to someone else. Of course, Fire Shelby would have to select the new Fire Shelby carefully in order to insure that her/his identity is kept secret. And subsequent Fire Shelbys - how many of them there are - would only know the identity of the one before them and would, theoretically, be beholden to them to keep their real identity secret. My reasoning behind this is that perhaps "Fire Shelby" has evolved into something much larger any one person and, as a result, there needs to be line of succession if we are to maintain momentum and be successful in removing SFT.
If Fire Shelby does indeed sign off tomorrow, you should know that your committment to this movement has been, and I'm sure will continue to be tremendous, and we all thank you for that!
